History
The Camelot was a casino in Las Vegas, one of several owned by Sam Striker, and used as one of his bases of operations,[1] though sometimes Striker was at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino too.[2]
After Striker and his superhuman enforcer Frost murdered Michael Berengetti, Berengetti's friend Joe Fixit arrived to Las Vegas to investigate, pretending to be trying to take over Berengetti's place as the top man in the city - a position that Striker coveted himself. Striker went to Berengetti's Coliseum Casino and tried to intimidate widow Suzi Berengetti to surrender her husband's assets, but he found Fixit protecting Mrs. Berengetti, and obtaining a popularity Striker wanted for himself. Striker retreated to the Camelot to make a new plan, specifically getting rid of Fixit using Frost's skills.[2]
Fixit lured out Striker to a false drug operation[2][3] at an Acme Storage warehouse, where Striker bragged about how he and Frost had murdered Berengetti, then were surrounded by Lt. Louisa Sanchez's Las Vegas police agents. Striker was injured and arrested, but Frost used his superhuman skills to hijack a police helicopter and attempted to escape. Fixit followed Frost, they fought in the helicopter and crashed it, coincidentally in Striker's Camelot casino, where they continued their fight and scared away the customers. Frost tried to freeze Fixit with his powers; while being frozen, Fixit noticed bullet holes on Frost's chest, concluding that Frost was not human; Fixit overcame Frost's freezing powers and, having no qualms on a non-human, he lanced Frost. He tried to discover what Frost was, and accidentally separated Frost's head from his body. Frost then made a joke, and his body and head exploded into a pile of frost. Frost was presumed dead, as Fixit reported to Sanchez about the fight.[2]Notes
- Striker owned another casino with a similarly-themed name, Excalibur Hotel and Casino. It is unclear whether the two casinos were intended to be the same one, but in Incredible Hulk #396, two different names were used.
