History

After Blue Shield failed to stop the Omnivore, he decided to resign as head of security for Project Pegasus. Firebolt was hired to take his place. After a series of sabotages involving experiments, Dr. Jeannine O'Connell realizes who was behind them, at which point she was confronted by Firebolt, who threatened to kill her. Arriving at that point, Blue Shield confronted the villain, who revealed he had been working for Roxxon Oil all along. Firebolt attempted to kill Blue Shield, but Blue Shield placed a protective bubble around Firebolt, holding in his continued plasma bursts. Eventually, the heat became too great, and Firebolt was reduced to slag.
