History
Canaan was a small town in Oklahoma where cosmic super villain Korvac installed the first of his worldwide network of fifty-eight lightning farms, using investment money from Tony Stark that he acquired under the alias of renewable energy scientist "Fuller Tielhard." Korvac also attracted super villains Blizzard, the Controller and the Unicorn due to their past history with Stark, expecting to later use them to dipose of him. At one point, the Unicorn was spotted by a gas station attendant, who would remember the strangely-clad, strangely-behaving person.[1]
In order to prevent Iron Man from interfering with his plans to empower himself into a god, Korvac lured Stark to the Tielhard Lightning Site I in Canaan in an attempt to kill him. Stark's crime-fighting partner Hellcat came to his aid after hearing about the Unicorn at the gas station. After leaving Stark and Hellcat for dead, Korvac and his minions left Canaan and settled elsewhere to continue his plans.[1]Points of Interest
