History

Overview

Canada is a country in the northern half of North America. Its ten provinces and three territories extend from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean and northward into the Arctic Ocean. Canada's border with the United States of America is the world's longest land border. Canada is sparsely populated, the majority of its land territory being dominated by forest, tundra, prairies, and the Rocky Mountains. It was originally part of the British Empire, but in the mid 19th century it became a semi-autonomous federal dominion. In 1931, Canada became an independent nation but still retain Queen Elizabeth as their head of state.

In Larval Earth, the superhero team Awful Flight is headquartered in Canada. Also, one U.S.dollar is very valuable in Canada: A Canadian finding one U.S. dollar is considered to be rich.^[1]

After Robert Hagon was elected Prime Minister, he used the Hardliners to kill a significant portion of the Canadian population. Others were captured and forcibly genetically engineered. Over the course of several years, the country was transformed to a haven of super-powered individuals and peace; albeit under the control of Joshua Lord. Alpha Flight, once the nation's heroes, became a resistance group but were unable to stop Lord's plans.^[2]
