History
The Cape Killers were several supervillains recruited by Agent Julia Gao to enforce New York's Anti-Vigilante Act in exchange for parole and reduced sentences.[1][2]
Following the events of Gang War, the Anti-Vigilante Act was repealed and Mayor Cage planned to the Cape Killers to be disbanded.[3] Before the repeal was made official, Gao made a last ditch effort to arrest Spider-Man by forming an alliance with his nemesis Rabble, who supplied the Cape Killers with enhanced suits. The Cape Killers confronted Spider-Man but after his allies showed up, Rabble double crossed the Cape Killers and used her technopathy to completely control them to provoke Spider-Man into fighting her.[4] Spider-Man defeated Rabble, freeing the Cape Killers from her control and saving their lives. Gao slipped away while paramedics arrived to treat the injured Cape Killers. Because of this, Mayor Cage officially disbanded the Cape Killers and had their funding moved to educational programs.[5]See Also
