History
Origin
According to Ian McNee, the Mystic Cape of Mercury was presumably a fabric enchanted by a Wyrdling (Weaver mage).[1] It was allegedly created by Mercury.[citation needed]
20th century
In 1940, the Angel (Thomas Halloway) acquired the cape from a Greek woman who have been trapped in an ancient subterranean city since 2060 BC. She told that the cape has belonged to Mercury. Wearing it the Angel was able to fly and escape from ghouls inhabiting the city.[2] For some reason, he rarely used it later.[3]
Capabilities
The Cape granted its user the ability to fly in a very similar way to Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation.[1]
Notes
- The Cape of Mercury bears some practical resemblance to Doctor Strange's Cloak of Levitation, and may have been forged using the same Weaver Magic.[1]
