History

Capricorn (LMD) (Earth-616) and Pisces (LMD) (Earth-616) from Defenders Vol 1 50 001

The original Capricorn and Pisces died shortly after being activated

Capricorn was one of the Life-Model Decoy created by Scorpio to serve as part of his new Zodiac. Scorpio was forced to awaken the LMDs of his new group early as he was surprised by an attack by the Defenders at his New Jersey headquarters.[2] Unfortunately, Capricorn, as well as Pisces and Virgo, were activated too soon and he died shortly thereafter. Scorpio found both Capricorn and Pisces dead in the hallway, having barely been awake before they deactivated.[3]

Later, Scorpio created another Capricorn using the Zodiac Key.[4] This Capricorn joined the rest of the Zodiac in aiding a mentally unstable Quicksilver, who was seeking revenge on the Avengers. Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces and Sagittarius all went to the "anthill," an abandoned Sentinel base. Here Capricorn fought against the Black Widow and the Black Panther. He attempted to take the battle to higher ground, but was taken down by the Avengers and was later turned into the authorities.[5]

Scorpio next transformed Capricorn into a female using the Zodiac Key. This new female incarnation of Capricorn joined the rest of the Zodiac in travelling to Dallas, Texas, where they confronted and killed all of the members of the original Zodiac Cartel, with the exception of Cornelius van Lunt and took their places in the criminal underworld. Next, the Zodiac attacked a group of businessmen attending a cattle auction in Wichita, where they were opposed by the West Coast Avengers. Capricorn fought against Iron Man, but fled when Sagittarius was destroyed by Hawkeye.[4]
