Notes
- The early origin of Samuel Wilson is told from his sister Sarah's perspective. This origin gives a great more detail of Samuel Wilson's life prior to his first appearance in Captain America #117.
- An important revelation is made in this issue. The "Snap" Wilson persona of Samuel Wilson was a personality manifestation of Samuel Wilson as a troubled young man. His baseline character has always been an honorable one. It was noted in Captain America #186 that Sam Wilson had been manipulated by the Red Skull and the Cosmic Cube.
- Reverend Garcia was last seen in Captain America #142.
- This issue contains a letters page, Letters to the Living Legend. Letters are published from Delmo Walters, Jr., Mikel Burton, John Burroughs, Bill Hall, Scot Emery, and Michael McClelland.
