Synopsis for "Live, Kree or Die, Part II: Stuck in the Middle"
Two people rob an electronics store, but are stopped by Captain America. He then talks to Councilman Bolt and promises to try and help his campaign after the Skrull fiasco. Captain America is then called down to Cape Canaveral by Warbird, who has requested the help of him and the other Avengers to fight off some Kree invaders calling themselves the Lunatic Legion. After calling Cap, Warbird gets captured by the Kree, who try to experiment on her to use her genes to enhance their race.
In Los Angeles, General Chapman publicly reveals the details of a plan to kill the King of Moldavia, and does not seem to care if his soldiers are killed.
Cap arrives at Cape Canaveral and frees Warbird, who is being held with a whole bunch of other prisoners. As Cap and Warbird work to free them, Warbird reveals that she didn't call the other Avengers, as she is trying to prove to Cap that she belongs on the Avengers despite her waning powers. Cap tells her that he doesn't care that her powers are weaker than they used to be, but she is threatening her status as an Avenger by acting recklessly. The Kree then begin to launch their rocket to return to their base on the Moon, and Cap wants to save the prisoners from the rocket's liftoff while Warbird wants to chase the Kree. Cap tells her that the people come first, but Warbird flies off to prove herself, telling Cap that he can save the prisoners while she avenges them. Warbird is immediately captured again, leaving Cap to vow to save her.
