Synopsis for "Blown Away!"

The Lunatic Legion send their agent, Nitro, The Exploding Man, to steal a powerful, top-secret government nerve gas called Compound 13. He is confronted by Captain Mar-Vell, who defeats Nitro by having Rick strike his Nega-Bands together at the moment Nitro explodes. The gas canister is ruptured in the explosion, and Mar-Vell successfully reseals the container--but alas, not before himself breathing in some of the toxic gas.

Notes

• Plot by Starlin, script by Englehart.
• The exposure to Compound 13 ultimately develop into cancer, causing the Death of Captain Marvel.
• Lou-Ann and Rick Jones break up. She will not be seen again in Captain Marvel.
