Notes
- Carcosa was a fictional city created by Ambrose Bierce in his short story "An Inhabitant of Carcosa" (1886), re-used in Robert W. Chambers' book of short horror stories The King in Yellow (1895), and later by H.P. Lovecraft.
- Knull's spiral emblem is based on the Spiral of Carcosa from True Detective, which is a reference to Carcosa, the city Hastur rules over in the Cthulhu Mythos.[2] Furthermore, Knull's title of "King in Black" is a reference to Hastur, the King in Yellow, tied to Carcosa in Bierce's stories.
