History
When the symbiote arrived on Earth through the meteorite with the spiral symbol, Oscorp obtained the meteorite and the symbiote. After that, they took samples of the alien, creating branches of the symbiote, then put it into custody. The criminal known as The Flame had recruited a former Oscorp worker who gave him the knowledge about the symbiote, although he was not initially interested he was convinced when he saw the symbiote army created by the Venom Symbiote.
Due to the invasion, Oscorp sent their "treatments" for safekeeping but one of them was intercepted by the Flame and his followers. Although Spider-Man and Wraith tried to stop them, The Flame obtained the symbiote contained within an Oscorp train and escaped with it.[1]Trivia
- The Carnage symbiote was originally colored black, like its progenitor. It later turned red after coming into contact with drops of the Flame's blood, possibly a reference to how the Carnage symbiote of the Prime Marvel Universe was bonded to Kasady's blood.
