History

Carnage was an offspring of the original Venom treatment project started by Alchemax International in the year 2099. It was stored by Alchemax shareholder Michael Erick in a secret vault in his penthouse.

Following Spider-Man's defeat of Norman Osborn and the downfall of Black Card holders, Erick was assaulted in his penthouse by a gang of Alluminium Card holders, unleashing the Carnage symbiote to defend himself. However, Carnage killed Erick, draining his blood, bonding to Erick's corpse and slaughtering the whole gang of alluminium cardholders.

He later reached Alchemax Commerce Plaza searching for former black cardholders to kill, being stopped by the arrival of Spider-Man and Spider-Woman. However, his slaughter of the corrupt rich people prompted the oppressed disgruntled citizens to side with the monster and start a city-wide riot. As Alchemax worked to squash the erupting chaos, Carnage was also joined by Halloween Jack who urged the rioters to wreck chaos across Nueva York.

This event attracted the attention of several other heroes such as Blade, Moon Knight, Daredevil, Venom, Ghost Rider and Punisher who came to put an end to this madness. Carnage came to consider his supporters as his personal hive and as they proceeded to destroy everything they came across he would incorporate into his mass the bodies of those who lost their lives.

Although the heroes tried their best to take down the monster, their efforts weren't enough. Thankfully they did manage to considerably weaken Carnage. During his last confrontation against Spider-Man, Spider-Woman and Venom, the latter dragged him into the surrounding fire, since he had come from her symbiote. Venom seemingly sacrificed herself to finally kill Carnage, ending his reign of terror and leaving the heroes and citizens to rebuild their city in the aftermath.
