Phantom Rider was long dead after the end of the Wild West and interred in Rango's cemetery. The hero was among the dead that were revived as a zombie from a plague infested meteorite. He and the other zombie gunslingers terrorized Rango until being confronted in a duel by Hurricane. Phantom Rider and the other remaining zombies took the chance to shoot Hurricane, and devour him. Slade and the zombies were finally killed by Hurricane's daughter, Jacali Kane.[1]
