History

Cary graduated third in her class at West Point Academy, despite "Thunderbolt" Ross dismissing her prospects of a successful military career.

With Doc Samson, she approached Hulk on Broadway and ordered the Thunderbolts to take him down when he refused to surrender. She eventually realized that the Hulk would only get stronger the more enraged he became, making her original brute force tactics pointless. Cary switched to more subtle strategies when trying to calm the Hulk.

Some time later, she assisted Dr. Banner when he was trying, in vain, to cure his wife Betty of lethal radiation exposure.
