Cassie grew up surrounded by the Avengers in the group's mansion and, determined to join their ranks, secretly exposed herself to the pym particles her father used to grow and shrink. After her father's death, Cassie joined the Young Avengers and, using the pym particles she had in her body to manipulate her father's abilities, adopted the name Stinger.[1]
