History

Dr. Cassandra Locke was a time-traveler from the late 22nd century of Earth-700 who had been exploring the history of the First Line and warned them of an impending Skrull invasion of Earth.

After making a total of nine time travel jumps, a badly-burned Locke ended up in 1955, appearing in the road in front of a car driven by Patrick Carney whom she recognized as the "Yankee Clipper" from the super-hero team known as the First Line. Locke told Carney about an alien race that was trying to secretly subjugate humanity in the 22nd century and entrusted him with recorded evidence that proved that, contrary to their claims, the aliens had engaged in hostile actions against Earth in the past. While Carney was taking her to receive medical treatment, Locke told him some details about the First Line. Unfortunately, by the time they reached a hospital that would treat her, Locke's condition had worsened enough that the doctor was unable to save her life. Before dying, Locke realized that the Power Belt that Carney would wear as the Yankee Clipper was her own Time Travel Belt so she asked the doctor to give it to Carney after her death.

• Although she looked like someone in her thirties, Dr. Cassandra Locke was at least eighty years old when she died. Such longevity was normal for humans from her time period.
