Extinct Species

This category does not include species:

• currently extant, with still a significant population, but fated to extinction,
• effectively extinct at some time,
• threatened of extinction at some time.
  Examples include the mutants, the Brood or the Warpies.

Meanwhile, this category does include species represented only by a handful living specimens, and often described as extinct or near-extinct.
(as are the Strontians, the Landlaks or the Hodinns).
