When the X-Patriots took over the emergency ward of the Cedar Sinai Hospital, reportedly demanding treatment for their injured member Taylor, authorities summoned the mercenary Random to deal with the renegade group. X-Factor arrived on the scene and rescued the X-Patriots from Random, paying more than the government to leave them alone.[1]
