History
The past history of the terrorist organization Si-Fan of Earth-79816 would mirror that of their Earth-616 counterparts. In this reality however, their leader Fu Manchu's son Shang-Chi would remain loyal to his father following his mission to assassinate Dr. James Petrie.
Si-Fan warriors would be sent out along with Shang-Chi to collect the bodies of five Dacoits that were killed by the forces of Sir Nayland Smith twenty years earlier. They would succeed, some of their numbers would be killed in the fire-fight and one minion would be captured by Smith's task force to stop Fu Manchu. With capture member of the Si-Fan would be interrogated by Smith's followers and reveal that Fu Manchu was to resurrect the dead Dacoits with his Elixir Viate and use them to attack Buckingham Palace in an attempt to murder the British royal family.
Some Si-Fan warriors would accompany Fu Manchu and his Dacoits of Death on their attack on Buckingham Palace. These minions would be stopped by the British authorities, Smith's followers and Shang-Chi who would renounce his fathers ways. Although the Si-Fan members involved in the attack would be either killed in battle or arrested, Fu Manchu would manage to escape.
Having members in the thousands, it is entirely likely that the Si-Fan is still in operation today, however their current activities remain unrevealed.Notes
- In Marvel's Voices: Identity #1 (2021), writer Gene Luen Yang replaced the Si-Fan (creation of writer Sax Rhomer in the Fu Manchu books) with the Five Weapons Society, just as he did on Earth-616.
