Synopsis for "The Girl Who Cast No Shadow"
A man walking the London streets at night comes across a girl who casts no shadow. Intrigued, he asks for her story. She tells him of a statue of a demon named Ningal locked in the museum that has stolen her shadow. She says she is unable to access the room where it is kept to reacquire her shadow. The man offers to help and they succeed in breaking in. The statue comes to life and devours the man. The woman reveals herself as the demon's priestess and promises more human sacrifices if it but spares her life. The story ends by warning the reader not to speak to any shadowless girl you may come across walking lonely the London streets at night.
