History

While still a teenager, Chan used ancient knowledge to awaken Fin Fang Foom to destroy the occupying communist army in China, Within a cave he found Fin Fang Foom. Chan brought with him two herbs one that would awaken the dragon, and another to send it back to sleep. After the dragon awoke Chan threatened to send it back to sleep causing Fin Fang Foom to chase him, destroying the army in the process. Luring the dragon back to the cave, Chan used the over herb to put the dragon back to sleep.

Later in life after becoming a Professor of Chinese history he joined the Legion of Night, to fight the demon Aan Taanu, who had possessed Fin-Fang Foom. Chan battled the demon's hordes while others succeeded in banishing the demon.
