Appearances: Fear Itself: The Home Front #1 J.A. was an elderly retired man from Broxton who found himself in financial difficulties and was forced to work as a waiter in a diner in the town, having to serve the multitude of tourists who visited Broxton to see the Asgardians.

J.B.

Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man #82, Daredevil #165 JB was a TV network executive who accepted Spider-Man's offer to appear on one of his late-night talk shows. Some time later, JB attended a Glenn Industries board meeting.

J.C.

Appearances: Spider-Man #84 J.C. was a friend of Devon Lewis.

J.D.

Appearances: Ghost Rider (Vol. 3) #1, Ghost Rider (Vol. 3) #2, Ghost Rider (Vol. 3) #3 J.D. he was a member of the Cypress Pool Jokers youth gang in Brooklyn. He was one of the three who hid one of the three canisters stolen from the Kingpin and hidden in a mausoleum in Cypress Hill Cemetery.

Jack

	Appearances: Marvel Tales #110 An apartment owner, decides to commit arson in order to get rid of an unwanted property so he figures that if he calls the fire department from the top floor of the burning building, no one will accuse him of setting the fire. He figures out how long that it should take the fire truck to respond to his phone call from the top floor and then lights a fire on the ground floor. He rushes up the stairs to the pay phone on the top floor and remembers that he doesn't have any coins.
	Appearances: Captain America #170 Jack was murdered by Moonstone in a small Midwestern university.
	Appearances: Nova #1 Jack was a classmate of Richard Rider at Harry S. Truman High School and played for the same basketball team. Jack blamed Rider for having missed aa block, causing their team to lose the game.
	Appearances: Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #43, Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #47, Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #48 Jack, Manny e Moe were Belladonna's henchmen. They participated in the various raids which, disguised as fashion design thefts, were put in place to discredit and ruin Roderick Kingsley. After tricking Spider-Man into going to Roderick Kingsley, Belladonna called Jack by phone telling him to get the boys together as that would be the big payoff. During the final showdown between Belladonna and her gang against Spider-Man, they were all easily defeated by the hero and handed over to the police.
	Appearances: Web of Spider-Man #4 Jack was a security personnel that worked at a facility that kept Doctor Octopus' Tentacles while he was being treated at the South Brooklyn Psychiatric Facility. His partner was observing them thrash in their holding room and Jack was eating a sandwich nonchalantly and unconcerned.
	Appearances: Incredible Hulk #383 Jack was acting as Gregor in Metamorphosis on Broadway with Nadia Dornova, when he suddenly disappeared in thin air.
	Appearances: Web of Spider-Man #110 Only eight miles outside Lubbock, Jack and Rog noticed a vehicle in trouble. While they were investigating the scene, the Lizard slithered on board of their truck. The two truckers, who were working for 'Louisiana Leathers', were allegedly slaughtered by the villain near the Mississippi border.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #6 Jack and his partner were caught by Spider-Man after they tried to rob a church collection box at gunpoint.
	Appearances: Avengers (Vol. 3) #21 Jack was a member of the troops sent by the United Nations as part of Operation Metalstorm to free Slorenia from Ultron.
	Appearances: Captain America (Vol. 4) #1 Jack witnessed a terrorist attack in Centerville on Easter Sunday.
	Appearances: Haunt of Horror: Lovecraft #1 Jack and his companion Yagar went an expedition to find his lost father. After finding a trinket, Jack experienced a vision of events that took place centuries ago where Jack's ancestor led a group of warriors to kill many innocent people, including a witch who cursed the warrior's family line until the end of time. After coming out of the vision, Jack turned to see Yagar bearing the face of the witch woman killed so long ago. The woman smiled and repeated her original curse, at which point Jack turned into a skeleton and died.
	Appearances: Invincible Iron Man (Vol. 2) #10 Jack was among the reporters who came to the H.A.M.M.E.R. press conference.
	Appearances: Fear Itself: The Home Front #2, Fear Itself: The Home Front #3, Fear Itself: The Home Front #7 Jack was a citizen of Stamford who participated in the posse who captured Speedball for wanting to execute him by suffocating him with a plastic bag, until the intervention of Miriam Sharpe, and when Jack was surprised that she of all people took the defense against their kind, Miriam retorted in rhyme, making fun of the kind. Though frightened, Jack and the other Stamford residents fought back at the onslaught of the Sisters of Sin.
	Appearances: Storm (Vol. 3) #6 Jack was the bodyguard of a United States senator who attacked Storm.

Jackie

	Appearances: Black Panther #14, Black Panther #15 A member of the Harlem gang the Thunderbolts, Jackie used the Sonic Disruptor against the Black Panther while he was under Klaw's influence. After being defeated by the Avengers, Jackie was arrested by the police.
	Appearances: X-Men / Spider-Man #1 Jackie was a talk show host who invited J. Jonah Jameson and Kraven the Hunter onto her show.

Jackson

	Appearances: Avengers #178 Mr. Jackson, along with other three crime bosses, had a meeting with the Manipulator to whom he wanted to sell his services, demonstrating how he could manipulate the Beast, and sure that he could manipulate all the Avengers. After obtaining the money from the bosses, however, he put them under his control and handed them over to two government agents.
	Appearances: Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #106 Jackson was one of Vince Granetti's henchmen and tried to shoot the Wasp when a Quinjet appeared on the tracks in front of a train carrying drugs. Him and his men succeeded in nearly destroying the Quinjet but failed to recover the Wasp who had been hiding and attacked thereafter.
	Appearances: Spider-Man #45 Jackson was one of the men sent by Frank Cortese to protect Mister C. He and his squad were all defeated by Spider-Man in Central Park.

Appearances: Ultimate Invasion #1 Jackson was a mercenary who filled in for the late Keith Conrad as part of a squad assembled by Randall West to get to the Maker within the Damage Control Remote Prison 42 inside the Blaakguard Building in Chicago. Once the team made contact with their secret employer, the Maker used a device that merged the four mercenaries and transfigured them into a near-catatonic duplicate of himself. The gestalt decoy stayed in its place until Mister Fantastic investigated the cell, at which point it melted into a puddle after taunting him.

Jacob

Appearances: 4 #5, 4 #6, 4 #7 Jacob and Jeff were filmmakers who were making a documentary about the Jersey Devil (Cryptid). They approached and entered an alien spaceship. They both were eventually rescued by the Fantastic Four.

Jacques

Appearances: Power Man and Iron Fist #117 Jacques was a wino who along with his fellow wino saw Maxine Walters and Danny Rand descending into an abandoned subway tunnel. They sought to protect Maxine from Danny whom they assumed was a Martian because of the protective suit he was forced to wear after being exposed to a nuclear blast. John Lumus then appeared and killed the winos on his quest to take out Maxine Walters.

Appearances: Immortal Iron Fist #2 Jacques fought in Fort Souville with Orson Randall.

Jacquet

Appearances: Marvels #1 Mrs. Jacquet was the mother of Doris Jacquet and mother-in-law of Phil Sheldon. She was very excited about the marriage between her daughter and Phil.

Jada

Appearances: A.X.E.: Judgment Day #1, A.X.E.: Judgment Day #2, A.X.E.: Judgment Day #3, A.X.E.: Judgment Day #4, A.X.E.: Judgment Day #5, A.X.E.: Judgment Day #6 Cameo: Immortal X-Men #7 After the revelation that the mutants had found a way to overcome death, Jada found herself in the crowd protesting outside the Treehouse, as her daughter was dead and thought it unfair that she could not come back to life. However, after Druig's announcement that he would eliminate all mutants, Jada, despite being among the protesters who rejoiced at the announcement, did not find genocide right. Listening to Captain America on television telling her to stay calm, Jada wanted to believe those words even though she was convinced that sincerity and reality were rarely good friends. Jada is judged worthy by the Progenitor after witnessing a crowd singing "Death to Mutants" but which she thought they were actually singing "Death to Ourselves" In the moment of the Progenitor's judgment, Jada walks the streets in revolt realizing that she was right even though she would have liked to be wrong. Then he meets Captain America and talks with him about the goodness of the world or not. Jada passes through the portal of the Eternals on the day of judgment after being offered to her by Captain America and once through it she took in her care the little Kenta who could not find her parents. At the end of Judgment Day Jada received a message from Cap and they met in the post-judgment ruins sharing a coffee together.

Jake

	Appearances: Captain America Comics #1 Jake was a Piggy Perroni henchman. When Mike Curry went to Perroni pretending he wanted to become his henchman, Jake and another henchman stopped him with a gun. After making sure Mike wasn't a cop, they started making fun of him for his appearance and Mike spinning at super speed, laid Jake and the other henchman on the ground.
	Appearances: X-Men #118 Jake was one of Moses Magnum's workers when he attacked Japan.
	Appearances: Spider-Man, Storm and Power Man #1 Jake was a henchman of Smokescreen, who on the orders of his boss tried to force Bret Jackson to lose the tracking race in which he was the favorite by forcibly holding back his girlfriend Carol, but, together with two other members of the Smokescreen's gang, they were stopped and easily defeated by Spider-Man and Luke Cage and handed over to the police.
	Appearances: Daredevil #238 Jake was a teenager who attempted to occupy the Alley after the Morlocks were gone.
	Appearances: Avengers: The Terminatrix Objective #1 Jake was the owner of a bar in the Wild West, where the Terminatrix suddenly appeared on the run from the Avengers in the future, apparently coming out of the back office of the bar.
	Appearances: Silver Sable and the Wild Pack #30 Izzy and Jake were frequent customers of Club Apocalypse, a drinking establishment where information about crimes was sometimes sold, and had dealt with Character Index/F#Frenchie and with Amy Chen, an agent of Silver Sable. When Sable was sent to prison, the CIA put a lot of pressure on these snitches to convince them not to collaborate with Chen nor with other allies of Sable. Chen went to the Apocalypse Club to try to buy information, but Izzy and Jake had been intimidated and only revealed that "the feds" were paying better than Sable, and that Frenchie had been killed for trying to tell the truth. Bolo then asked Izzy and Jake to stop talking with Chen. Which of the two men was Izzy, and which was Jake, is unrevealed.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man Annual #25 Jake was a member of a gang of robbers who decided to rob the weekly deposits of a local bank from a cash van. Knowing that the driver of the armored car usually stopped at a local diner, the gang entered the diner and took everyone present as hostages waiting for the driver, but Eddie Brock entered that diner with a small family who had given him a lift. Initially not intervening for fear that some innocent people could get hurt, he later responded to the provocations of the criminals and decided to face them by killing them all.
	Appearances: Punisher War Journal #53 He was among the members of the Sword of Liberty who tried to flush out the Punisher but was easily overwhelmed by him when he first broke his leg and finally killed him giving him the coup de grace with the gun.
	Appearances: Incredible Hulk #353 Jake worked for Coliseum Casino owner Michael Berengetti, keeping him in contact with the casino while at home. When organized crime syndicate Maggia blew up Berengetti's car and murdered his chauffeur Stephen, Berengetti asked Jake to put Stephen's widow to the phone so he'd give her the bad news.
	Appearances: Infinity Crusade #1 Jake was a farmer who witnessed the Goddess' epiphany.
	Appearances: Web of Spider-Man #110 Jake was a member of the Pipers, a biker gang who terrorized drivers along Colorado's southern border. He was one of the first Pipers to be killed by the Lizard.
	Appearances: Spider-Island: I Love New York City #1 After two would-be robbers broke into Jake's house, whose windows he had left open to let in fresh air, they tied him and his wife to chairs to rob their apartment. The two robbers, however, were opposed by Jake's six-year-old daughter Charlotte, who had acquired Spider-Man-like powers after being infected with the Spider-Virus.
	Appearances: Daredevil (Vol. 3) #24 Jake was a rock climber who dated Kirsten McDuffie.

Jakes

Appearances: Wolverine (Vol. 2) #11 Jakes was Burt Corrigan's chauffeur.

Jaleel

Appearances: Daredevil (Vol. 3) #7 Jaleel was one of the students from the Cresskill School for the Blind who were rescued by Matthew Murdock when their bus crashed during a snowstorm in the Catskill Mountains.

Jaime

	Appearances: Wolverine (Vol. 2) #36 Jaime was a falangist kid who was taken prisoner by Eric Blair.
	Appearances: Daredevil (Vol. 2) #116, Daredevil #500 Jaime was the son of Marta, a woman who met and started a relationship with Wilson Fisk when he tried to start a new life in Spain. Fisk became a father figure for Jaime and his sister Adriana, who called him "Uncle Wheelie". However, Jamie and the rest of his family were slaughtered by the Hand and Lady Bullseye.

Jamaal

Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man #548 Jamaal was a taxi cab driver who took Spider-Man to Battery Park.

Jamal

Appearances: Fantastic Four (Vol. 6) #29 Jamal was a neighbor of Sky in the Soho neighborhood.

Jamar

Appearances: Punisher (Vol. 8) #2 Jamar was a gangster confronted by the Punisher.

James

	Appearances: Marvel Mystery Comics #11 After a string of mysterious murders of local doctors, Dr. James saw a patient that insisted that there was something wrong with his eyes (even though his nurse warned him that the patient was suspicious). The man turned out to be a vengeful intern who was fired for unauthorized medical procedures and who had spent years mastering the art of hypnosis and was now hypnotizing the doctors who fired him. Dr. James resisted the man's hypnotic commands to walk into traffic, and managed to capture the man and bind him for the authorities.
	Appearances: Captain America Comics #32 Professor James was an archaeologist who discovered the Tomb of Bodeo in Bolivia and the cursed Cup of God, and who in spite of the curse drank from the Cup and went mad thinking he was Bodeo himself.
	Appearances: Journey Into Mystery #15 Trying to obtain travel documents, Greg Garlan went to P.S. Public School 13, but the principal told him that it did not appear that he had ever attended her, but Garlan replied that he remembered the names of his teachers, namely Ms. Thomas in 8th Grade.
	Appearances: Tales of Suspense #2 A knight from Camelot, Sir James welcomed Jason Grubb when he arrived from the future, and awaited the magic promised by Grubb who intended to use the technology of the future as "magic", not realizing that his tech did not work in the past. After repeated failures, Sir James got tired of Grubb and his clumsy attempts.
	Appearances: Amazing Adventures #4 James was Simon Sledge's driver.
	Appearances: Strange Tales #129, Vengeance #5 Mr. James was the director of the Twelfth Hour television program. When the three panelists were sucked into the Sixth Dimension by the Screaming Idol, he immediately asked Dr. Strange to rescue them. Once done, Dr. Strange cast a spell of forgetfulness so that no one could remember what happened. When America Chavez was shipped to the Sixth Dimension by the Young Masters, he met a shadow of Mr. James, who told him that although his flesh-and-blood counterpart had returned to Earth after visiting the Sixth Dimension, a shadow of himself remained there lacking the light to be able to rebel.
	Appearances: Monsters Unleashed #5, Monsters Unleashed #6, Monsters Unleashed #7, Monsters Unleashed #8 The circus trapeze artist captured by Dr. Wallach, whose brain was imprisoned in the body of the Frankenstein's Monster, in order to use his body, but the brain transfer did not succeed in killing Wallach. Still passed out, James' body was used by the zombified Derek McDowell who was killed afterwards by the Monster, leaving James in the zombie body. After recovering James tells the Monster about his past of how he had become a trapeze artist, entering into sympathy for the Monster. James then in his zombie body was magically controlled by the Master using it to get the Monster and once he got what he wanted he stopped control over James and his body collapsed.
	Appearances: Daredevil #216 Doctor James from Fleming-Gardner Memorial Hospital was killed by the Gael.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man #279 James worked at the Symkarian Embassy when Silver Sable got delivered flowers. The flowers had a bomb that was send by Jack O'Lantern.
	Appearances: X-Factor #11 Doctor James treated the Angel after he was taken to Saint Vincent's Hospital.
	Appearances: Alpha Flight #42 James was the autist of the Auctioneer and also served as his henchman.
	Appearances: Incredible Hulk Annual #17 James was a fan of Rick Jones and saved his life when a man who wanted to take revenge on Rick tried to run him down with a truck.
	Appearances: Uncanny X-Men #294 James was the chauffeur who drove the limousine that accompanied Warren and Charlotte for a date.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #37 Mrs. James was a motor-mouthed neighbor of Jennifer Hardesty.
	Appearances: Marvelous Adventures of Gus Beezer: Hulk #1, Marvelous Adventures of Gus Beezer: X-Men #1 James was a friend and classmate of Gus Beezer. When there was unusual excitement at school, James told Gus that the Hulk had been spotted outside the school. James participated in a representation of the X-Men in the class created by Gus and later they really met the X-Men.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man Family #5 James was Screwball's young cousin who was kidnapped by the Mad Hacker, who endangered the child for internet contacts and money. James was saved by Spider-Man's intervention.
	Appearances: Daredevil (Vol. 3) #4, Daredevil (Vol. 3) #6 James called Mr. Murdock from the Nelson and Murdock Law Office as soon as the verdict for Mr. Pampolos was in.
	Appearances: Fear Itself #1, Fear Itself: The Home Front #7, Fear Itself #7 James was in his father Rick's arms when the Serpent's hammers fell on Earth, and he asked his father what all those strange lights were. James with his mother Danielle took refuge in the school during the assault on the Thule Society on Broxton. His father Rick joined them, but quickly told his wife that he was going to help Captain America. When the crisis was over, Rick returned to Danielle and James and they resumed their quiet lives in Broxton.
	Appearances: Legendary Star-Lord #1 Father James conducted Meredith Quill's funeral.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 5) #62 James was Tombstone's driver. His boss ordered him to take him to Peter, Randy, and Fred's apartment where he would took care of Randy.
	Appearances: Marvel's Voices: Pride #1 James learned of the lesbian relationship between Irene Adler and Raven Darkhölme and blackmailed Irene into telling her that he would keep the secret if she turned over Raven for scientific studies on her condition and she would become his wife, but he did not imagine that his interlocutor was actually Raven who revealed herself and killed James. Raven addressing James as "Professor Mo--" before being interrupted indicates that he may have been Professor James Moriarty.
	Appearances: Mighty Marvel Holiday Special – Halloween with the Rhino Infinity Comic #1 James and his sister Edith, after seeing Iron Man's public service message not to dress up for Halloween as a supervillain, decided to dress up as Spider-Man using only one costume for two with Edith carrying James on her shoulders, but during around the streets the two were misunderstood as the real Spider-Man by the Rhino who attacked them, but fortunately the real Spider-Man intervened who rescued them and in the meantime made the Rhino come to his senses by convincing him to follow the straight path with the enthusiasm of the two children.
	Appearances: Hawkeye: Kate Bishop #4 James was one of the guests of the Resort Chapiteau mentally controlled by Pascale Tiboldt and forced to attack Kate Bishop. Kate managed to bring him to his senses when she threatened to harm his girlfriend.

Jamie

	Appearances: Warlock #8 Jamie was the son of one of Warlock's followers.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man #408 Jamie was a Burning Blade gangbanger.
	Appearances: Spider-Man #98 Jamie was Sarah Chan's cameraman.
	Appearances: Fear Itself #1 Jamie interviewed Steve Rogers during a riot at Ground Zero.

Jamilah

Appearances: Champions (Vol. 4) #1 Jamilah was a schoolmate of Miles Morales at Brooklyn Visions Academy, who met with Miles early and told him that the Champions were about to make an official statement regarding Kamala's Law, which prevented young people, under 21, from continuing to act as superheroes. After the statement, Jamilah said that the Champions were liars and that she was about to start a C.R.A.D.L.E. Junior League and this made her fight with another student who supported the Champions. Jamilah participated in the counter-march organized in Chicago against the law that banned underages from being superheroes along with others who were in favor of the law.

Jan

Appearances: Fantastic Four #232 Jan gave the Thing a scuba tank when he crashed into the sporting goods store where she was working, allowing him to breathe during a fight against a water elemental sent by Diablo. Jan was then trapped by the same water elemental and was in turn rescued by the Thing.

Appearances: New X-Men 2001 #1 Jan was a U-Man who attended John Sublime's public event to highlight the "Third Species".

Jane

	Appearances: Amazing Fantasy (Vol. 2) #13, Amazing Fantasy (Vol. 2) #14 Jane was the twin sister of the criminal known as Vegas. She was a scientist who used to work with Dr. Heisenberg.
	Appearances: Marvel 75th Anniversary Celebration #1 Jane was saved by fireman David Walker during the Human Torch's first appearance in New York City. 75 years later, Jane requested Jessica Jones's assistance in finding Walker, in order to properly thank him for saving her life.

Janelle

Appearances: Daredevil Annual #7 Janelle was criminal Richard Furman's associate, and she was privy of details of Furman's illegal deals with corrupt NYPD detective Hobbes.

Janet

	Appearances: Daredevil #91, Daredevil #95, Daredevil #97, Daredevil #101, and Daredevil #107 Janet worked in San Francisco for the Law Office of Broderick, Sloan, and Cranston and would continue working for the firm after Cranston's death. Janet was still working at the the law office when Matt Murdock was made a partner.
	Appearances: Haunt of Horror (Vol. 2) #2 Janet suffered physical violence from her husband soon after her mother, who lived with them, died. One evening, returning to his house drunk, her husband violently hit her with one objects, killing her, after which he himself was killed by their son Jimmy, advised to him, according to him, by the corpse of her grandmother.
	Appearances: Punisher (Vol. 2) #41 Janet decided to attack New York City's water supply system to avenge her father, who had warned about the dangers of the antiquated system but was fired for it.
	Appearances: Sensational She-Hulk #52 Janet was Greg Hallerhand's Personal Assistant at CBC.
	Appearances: Marvel Double Shot #4 Janet and her friend Davy were saved by Doctor Strange from the Bottle Imp.

Janey

	Appearances: Eternals Annual #1 Janey was saved by Karkas from Attila the Hun.
	Appearances: Marvel Two-In-One #98 Janey and Brad were two kids who encountered the Thing along with Franklin Richards in an Arcade. When Brad saw it she mistook it for "Evil Otto", but Janey corrected him that that was just a video game character, but she wasn't entirely sure.
	Appearances: Thunderbolts #4 In a television station near the Adirondack Mountains, Janey decided to send to her network a remote broadcast from the Thunderbolts, while they were fighting Arnim Zola inside Doctor Doom's Castle.

Jangles

Appearances: Captain America #170 & Captain America #171 Jangles was one of Stoneface's henchmen. He was confronted by the Black Panther and Falcon.

Janice

	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man #279 Janice was a fashion model working for Kingsley Ltd.
	Appearances: Emma Frost #6 Janice was an interior designer who advised how to furnish the Frost House in preparation for a party hosted by Winston.
	Appearances: Emma Frost #15 Janice was a homeless woman from whom Astrid Bloom read her mind to discover that she found herself living on the street when her husband died.
	Appearances: Thunderbolts #168 Janice was a pawn of Mister Fear. Luke Cage was made to believe he killed her due to visions caused by Mister Fear's fear gas. However, Cage soon discovered that Janice had been poisoned and not killed by him.

Janie

Appearances: Totally Awesome Hulk #7 Janie was a hospital receptionist from Las Vegas who met Bruce Banner.

Janos

Appearances: Havok and Wolverine Meltdown #3 Janos escorted Havok and Scarlett across the Soviet border in the western Carpathian Mountains.

Janssen

Appearances: Avengers (Vol. 3) #0 Doctor Janssen's hospital was attacked, and she survived barely long enough to tell Wonder Man that his brother, the Grim Reaper, had been attacked and kidnapped by robots.

Jarret

Appearances: Black Widow (Vol. 2) #2 Jarret was a security guard at the New York Museum of Natural History who attempted to arrest Yelena Belova, who was led by SHIELD to believe she was Natasha Romanov, after killing what appeared to be Yelena Belova, but was taken hostage by her for later run away.

Jasmine

Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man #332 Jasmine was a baby girl who was taking a carriage ride with her parents in Central Park when the carriage that was crossing a small bridge was hit by a car thrown by Venom who wanted to hit Spider-Man. The carriage overturned and the baby was thrown out of the carriage and fell into the stretch of water under the bridge, but surprisingly it was Venom himself who saved her by pulling her out of the water and handing her over to her parents.

Jason

	Appearances: West Coast Avengers #3 Jason was a looter arrested by the West Coast Avengers.

During the battle, the three remaining members, given the difficulty in dealing with Mokk, withdrew, being accused by Sasha of being cowards. During the fight against Mokk, Sasha Hammer ordered Jayce and the other member survivor of the Hammer Corps to retreat, leaving Rescue at Mokk's mercy even though one of the two members of the Hammer Corps told Sasha they should not leave her, but Sasha didn't care.

Franklin after forcing him to steal money from his workplace. The plot, however, failed due to the casual involvement of a young man, and the pair of brothers were arrested.
	Appearances: Marvel Tales #110 Joe was a prison guard who together with a colleague discovered the apparently lifeless body of the death row inmate Carlos Lopes inside his cell.
	Appearances: Lorna, the Jungle Girl #6 Lorna chased a helicopter that was flying over the jungle forcing it to land and the pilots, two animal hunters named Aggie and Joe, come at Lorna with a gun. Joe explains that they have been hired to capture animals that are to be used in experiments. While this is being discussed, Aggie coughs away her cigarette starting a wild fire in the dry conditions. As the flames begin to rage, Lorna makes a run to the caged animals and sets them free. Aggie and Joe try to get clear of the flames. Joe stumbles into the lake and is eaten alive by the crocs in the water.
	Appearances: Lorna, the Jungle Girl #6 Joe was a criminal who hired the circus performer Grace and made her take the place of Lorna of whom Grace was a perfect lookalike.
	Appearances: Sub-Mariner Comics #40 Joe and his friend Bud were sailing across the ocean on their small motor boat "Nina I" when they were surprised by a heavy fog and Bud having forgotten the compass they got lost on the ocean. When they sensed the approach of a ship, hoping it was the Coast Guard, they asked them for help but instead it was a Soviet vessel of which two of them boarded their boat trying to get hold of the documents to allow them to get to the radar station of Cape George to sabotage it. Bud and Gerge managed to prevent this action through subterfuge until the Coast Guard actually arrived and arrested the two Soviet saboteurs.
	Appearances: Amazing Adult Fantasy #8 Joe filmed the alien ambassador who was driven away from Earth because of its monstrous appearance.

	Appearances: Mystery Men #2, Mystery Men #3 Joey was Bridget's new boyfriend, Lewis Green's ex-girlfriend. When Lewis returned from the excavations in Troy to retrieve an amulet for the General, he went to Bridget's house, defying the General's orders to go directly to him, but when he was at the door of his house Bridget told him that things during the her absence had changed and she was now with another man, then Joey appeared and threw Lewis down the stairs. After acquiring the powers of Achilles, Lewis returned to Bridget wanting to win her back and heavily beat up Joey, but Bridget refused him in spite of everything, telling him that she had never loved him.

	Appearances: Daredevil (Vol. 2) #29 Johann was Vanessa Fisk's butler at Les Diablerets villa. He told her that Wilson Fisk had been stabbed.

John

	Appearances: Marvel Mystery Comics #18 John, a member of the Legion of Loyalists, faced the Sub-Mariner with a flamethrower.
	Appearances: Marvel Mystery Comics #23 Black John was one of the escaped prisoners that Professor Dorn mutated to have the same powers as the Sub-Mariner, including the ability to breathe underwater. He and all the other mutants were easily defeated by Namor.
	Appearances: All Winners Comics #19 John was the Millstone police chief. He was abducted by Calcium Master and in his place a statue was placed that represented him minutely, so Calcium Master pretended that he had turned John into a statue with a solution of his own invention and that if he were paid a ransom he would restore him to life.
	Appearances: Sub-Mariner Comics #29 Old John was the groundskeeper of Colonel Carter's estate and it was he and the colonel's daughter Susan who found the General's body, but while the Susan believed her father's death was due to an accident, Old John harbored suspicions and indeed it was he who raised doubts after finding a gun and the true identity of Corso Lenori, looking inside Lenori's car, but just as Old John was peeking into the car, Corso attacked him behind him, stunning him.
	Appearances: Journey Into Unknown Worlds #2 John was a scientist who, after removing a grain from his eye, hypothesized that the grain could be a world, a world so small that its inhabitants would have been completely unaware of his existence. In fact, the grain was indeed a world inside the Microverse.
	Appearances: Strange Tales #15 John was the chauffeur of Mr. Benson, a wealthy man who had an extreme fear of heights.
	Appearances: World of Fantasy #11 A "Dream" from Nightmare's realm, by mistake, induced a nightmare to John while he was asleep; this made John suddenly wake up shouting, which fortunately frightened a thief who was robbing his safe.
	Appearances: Journey Into Mystery #56 After mocking the local tales of a haunted lighthouse with his friends, John finds himself sheltering inside it after his fishing boat capsizes during a storm. He searches the lighthouse from top to bottom but finds no evidence of "haunting" until just before midnight when the main light is turned on revealing a mysterious ship coming towards the lighthouse. The ship has a strange glow and lowers several smaller boats containing ghosts into the water. John hides as the ghosts come through the walls and discuss their plans. At one point the ghosts seem to feel his presence but dismiss the feeling as they are sure none of the locals would dare risk being killed by the ghosts. In the morning, John is telling his friends of his ordeal. They laugh at him until he shows them a life-preserver from the "Flying Dutchmen", left behind by the dead sailors.
	Appearances: Tales to Astonish #11 When his son Billy went missing in the swamp, John went out to try and find him. John found his son but then Monstrom appeared and the family fled to town when bullets didn't stop it.
	Appearances: Tales to Astonish #15 While John and Derek were on a hunting expedition in Africa they came into possession of a medallion which depicted a mastodon. Derek believed the find meant they were close to the presence of a legendary elephant graveyard where the two could find immense riches of ivory. They started their search, spotting a nearby elephant and chose to follow it. They followed the elephant to a glowing forest where the guides ran off in fear while Derek was seized by greed, choosing to shoot John in one leg to appropriate all the ivory he would find for himself. Fortunately one of the African guides, Monga, heard the gunshot and returned to John's side bringing him to safety. John never learned Derek's fate but was glad he didn't accompany him further as some things are better left undiscovered.
	Appearances: Tales of Suspense #23 John and his wife Martha gave up their business to retire to Florida. There they helped an alien to return to his ship and to thank them for their kindness, the alien bathed them (without their knowledge) with the waters of the swamp, which were the fountain of youth. John and Martha lost some memory and they both found themselves rejuvenated, not remembering that they had been elderly and that they had met the alien.
	Appearances: Amazing Adult Fantasy #10 John is intimidated by his acting regent uncle with a toad shape birthmark upon his brow who wants to be king. The regent finally gets the idea to bring the boy to Romani to take away so that he can pretend the prince is dead and seize power. When he wakes the boy in the dead of night, the boy is frightened and refuses to be cowed into submission so the regent falls back upon his threat to use his black magic to transform the prince into a toad. However, the regent's spell backfires on him and the prince laughs at his new toad companion saying that "you forgot that fairy tales always have happy endings."
	Appearances: Strange Tales #104 After being turned into a frog by a sorcerer, the king tyrant Zakkim fell asleep in a trance that would last 1000 years, but once awake Zakkim could reverse the spell. Upon his awakening Zakkim met John and his friend dressed in frog costumes for a party and, thinking he had awakened in a land where humans has evolved into giant frogs, Zakkim went back into his trance to never have to wake up again.
	Appearances: Avengers #2 John was driving his convertible with his girlfriend when he passed Giant-Man and the Wasp who were hurrying to answer Rick Jones' call.
	Appearances: Hero for Hire #10 John was a henchman of Señor Suerte, who was killed by Suerte himself to try his new power.

They befriended and tried to reassure the Hulk but also became involved with the Hulk's diatribes with the army and with an aspiring candidate for the US presidency. After convincing the Hulk to remedy the explosion of a dam that would have flooded the burial place of his ancestors, he himself drowned during the rescue operation.
	Appearances: Thor #337 John was playing frisbee with his friends in Grant Park when one of his clumsy shots hit Dr. Don Blake in the back. John immediately apologized for the incident.
	Appearances: Peter Parker, The Spectacular Spider-Man #113 John and three other young thugs tried to take revenge on Ernie Popchik for shooting them during a robbery attempt. They went to the house of Aunt May, which served as a boarding house where Ernie lived, and took all the pensioners, including Aunt May and Ernie, hostage until the timely intervention of Spider-Man. John was killed by special police squads who intervened to rescue the hostages.
	Appearances: Marvel Comics Presents #74, Marvel Comics Presents #75, Marvel Comics Presents #76, Marvel Comics Presents #77 John was Sir Guy Cross-Wallace's partner for smuggling. He was present when Cross-Wallace tried to marry Shanna and could not stand the theatricality of that ritual. Annoyed by Cross-Wallace's behavior, John reminded him that they were building a smuggling fortress and all those tribal rites had nothing to do with it, where Cross-Wallace asked him menacingly if he wanted to take his place. He led the Cross-Wallace warriors against Shanna, but did not tell him to carry her blood as Cross-Wallace had ordered. During Shanna's assault on the Cross-Wallace fortress, John was killed by her by throwing a knife to his throat.
	Appearances: Wolverine and The Punisher: Damaging Evidence #2 John was a victim of a shoot-out between the Punisher and a criminal, when the criminal fired towards the street where there were several passers-by including John who was shot to death.

	Appearances: Deadpool (Vol. 3) #57, Deadpool (Vol. 3) #58 John was a mutant with little control over his powers. On one occasion, he blew up his house. Confused, homeless, and alone, John rampaged in his monster form through Detroit, where he encountered Deadpool and Garrison Kane, who had been sent in by Weapon X to bring him in. Deadpool calmed John down by telling him jokes, but the moment John powered down, he was killed by Kane, who believed him to be too dangerous to live. Enraged, Deadpool attacked Kane.

	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man #700.5 John's son, Tommy, intervened during a robbery attempt trying to help Spider-Man who had always been an example for him but was hit in the back by a gunshot fired by a robber. Initially, John was furious at Spider-Man as the culprit of his son's injury, but after Tommy died of his injuries, John handed Peter Parker a comic book designed by Tommy starring Spider-Man telling him to give it to Spider-Man since he knew him and to tell him not to blame himself.
	Appearances: All-New X-Factor #12 John was the personal security guard of Harrison Snow.
	Appearances: Daredevil (Vol. 5) #18 John was a prison guard on duty in the prison where Killgrave was incarcerated using a special equipment not to be controlled by him. Appearances: Marvel Fanfare #48 John-John was an American soldier who during the Vietnam War asked one of his fellow soldiers Bubba if it was the case that he continued to abuse the heroine, and feeling judged Bubba came out of the trench where they had repaired, at which John-John chased out from the trench Bubba telling him that it was not safe to get out of the shelter and just in that while he was hit by enemy fire and was killed.

Appearances: Storm (Vol. 3) #2 John-John was a runaway who was welcomed into the community created by Callisto, now simply human after M-Day, in the Morlock's The Alley. John-John in turn found Angie Williams sleeping in the subway and told her he knew a safe place and took her to the Callisto's community.

John-Johns

Appearances: Adventures into Terror #14 A native foreman, he poisons his cruel boss for his beatings of the laborers but the boss promises to turn over a new leaf if he is given the antidote. The boss is led to a group of trees and he carves an 'X' into one of the healing trees. When he recovers, he goes back to being sadistic, so John-Johns poisons him again. The boss just laughs and kills John-Johns, but when he returns to the trees, he finds John-Johns has had his revenge from beyond the grave for they are all marked with an 'X'.

Johnnie

Appearances: X-Men #122 Johnnie was one of the young junkies who attacked Storm when she entered an abandoned apartment building in Harlem.

Johnny

	Appearances: Journey Into Unknown Worlds #41 On the way between school and home, Johnny found a glittering stone in strange colors that he discovered was capable of granting his wishes. Unsure what to do, after checking the stone's magical abilities, Johnny thought what would happen if he never found the stone, and as if by magic the stone disappeared from his pocket.
	Appearances: X-Men #120 Johnny was a Toronto-Dominion Mall shopper who witnessed the Vindicator attacking Banshee and Storm.
	Appearances: Marvel Two-In-One #94 Johnny was a man who made clandestine bets with Louie, and when Louie squeezed his hand too much, Johnny told him to take it easy that his fingers were still his at least until after the race.
	Appearances: Uncanny X-Men #196 Johnny was a student of Charles Xavier's at Columbia University and part of a group that was planning to murder him because he was a mutant. When Shadowcat walked in on them having a conversation about it, Johnny was one of the students that attacked by coming up behind her and putting a rag covered in chloroform over her mouth. She was saved when Rachel Summers appeared and aggressively attacked the students.
	Appearances: Longshot #3 Johnny noticed the alarms went down when Longshot and Jinx infiltrated the power plant.

	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 5) #74 Johnson was a prison guard in Bedford Falls Correctional Facility where Elizabeth Tyne was being imprisoned and not knowing her, as he had been working there for a short time, he was about to treat her roughly but was stopped by a more experienced guard.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man (Vol. 5) #78 Operator Johnson belonged to the intervention team of the Beyond Corporation who intervened to rescue Spider-Man at the request of the Langston artificial intelligence after the assault by Morbius.

Jolel

Appearances: X-Factor #76 Jolel was a staunch supporter of Farnoq Dahn, and meeting Wolfsbane stunned after being thrown away by the Hulk, he took her prisoner while waiting for Dahn's men to take her away. During their captivity, Rahne and Jolel had a heated discussion about their beliefs. When Rahne was about to flee, Jolel's sister Sandah helped her by hitting Jolel with a bottle. When Jolel recovered from her he killed her sister with a knife infuriating Wolfsbane who in return killed Jolel.

Jolene

Appearances: Amazing Fantasy #1000 Jolene untied Arnulfa Gonzales, who had been confined to her bed after one of her fits, as a fire had developed in the hospital where she had been admitted. Jolene told Arnulfa that they had to escape but as soon as she left Arnulfa's room, she Jolene was engulfed in flames and perished.

Joli

Appearances: Uncanny X-Men #272 Joli was a Magistrate who accompanied Tam Anderson in an attempt to oppose Cameron Hodge, but they were discovered and Joli was mowed down by the fire of the cyborg Hodge. Note: She is probably the same character named Josi, Tam Anderson's partner, who appeared in X-Men Vol 1 271

Jonah

	Appearances: Two-Gun Kid #89 Jonah is a resident of Tombstone.
	Appearances: Ms. Marvel (Vol. 4) #8, Ms. Marvel (Vol. 4) #9, Ms. Marvel (Vol. 4) #10, Ms. Marvel (Vol. 4) #11 Jonah studied criminal justice at Rutgers. He was one of the volunteers who were put together in the Carol Cadets by Becky St. Jude to put Ulysses' knowledge to good use.

Jonas

Appearances: Uncanny Tales #32 Mr. Jonas was the owner of a store where janitor Ned Carter worked. Jonas fired Carter because he didn't show up for work because he was full-time working on creating a robot that would sweep the floors for him. After several attempts, Carter managed to create a robot capable of sweeping the floor but not moving beyond just sweeping movements. Considering it a further failure, he surrendered to the evidence by destroying the robot and asking Mr. Jonas to get him back to work.

Jonathan

Appearances: Amazing Fantasy #1000 Jonathan was a friend of Neil Gaiman. When Neil went to New York, Jonathan managed to get Neil to meet Steve Ditko with whom he corresponded.

Jones

	Appearances: Gay Comics #40 Jones was the janitor of the apartment building where Nellie the Nurse lived. When he went to check on loud sounds and banging coming from her apartment, he found Nellie attempting to break open a particularly hard shell of a walnut for a birthday cake. Attempting to help, he only wound up breaking his false teeth and smashing Nellie's chest of drawers through the wall of the building. He later helped her throw the cake at the face of her boyfriend Snazzy when he came by the apartment.
	Appearances: Amazing Adult Fantasy #14 Jones was a policeman who managed to repel an alien invasion.
	Appearances: Journey Into Mystery #84 Mrs. Jones was one of Dr. Don Blake's patients.

	Appearances: X-Factor #59 Charlotte Jones' mother-in-law looked after her grandson Timmy in the absence of her mother. She welcomed Archangel to Charlotte's house with a broom, not wanting him to associate with her daughter-in-law and her grandson.

During Psycho-Man's assault on New York City, Jones asked Reed Richards for the intervention of the Fantastic Four to thwart gargoyles flying out of his window, but Reed angrily replied that the Fantastic Four were already at work and that his problems weren't a priority.
	Appearances: X-23 (Vol. 3) #11 Mr. Jones accompanied prospective Trigger Scent customers to the demonstration site.
	Appearances: Dark Wolverine #78 Judge Jones lived in New York City with his many dogs. He initially decided to forbid the press to access the court hearing on a case involving Neo-Nazi convict Aryan who had started a racial prison riot targetting Ethiopian superhuman convict Moses Magnum. The Inquisitor, an agent of Norman Osborn, kidnapped Jones at the latter's home, tortured him and threatened to kill the pets, unless Jones changed his mind and made the hearing public, as this was an important step on Osborn's plan to allow for Magnum's catastrophic release, killing many people, so that Osborn's agents would publicly go after Magnum. Jones was successfully coerced. Possible Jones was in the court the following day, when Osborn's agents disabled the cuffs that prevented Magnum from using his powers; Magnum escaped with several other criminals, demolishing the building and murdering at least ten people, which may or may not include Jones.

Joon

Appearances: Emma Frost #2, Emma Frost #3 Joon was a classmate of Emma Frost at Snow Valley School for Girls and from whom she obtained the answers for her midterm exams by reading her mind unconsciously not yet knowing she was a telepathic mutant. Joon later asked Emma if she used ginseng to improve her intellectual performance.

Appearances: Elektra: Black, White & Blood #2 Joon was a professional escort in Madripoor, of whom a crime boss Cesare thought she was carrying his son. When Cesare learned that Joon was going to terminate her pregnancy he decided to intervene, but to help Joon intervened Elektra, as a favor for Logan. However, who eliminated Cesare was Joon herself who shot Cesare while fighting with Elektra killing him and with his death she decided to carry on the pregnancy, as her son was not his but Ryan's.

Jordan

	Appearances: Tales to Astonish #40 Mrs. Jordan was the mother of Tommy Jordan, a boy who, due to a series of fortuitous events, found himself in an alternative reality practically identical to theirs where a family lived in which the mother was an identical copy of Tommy's mother.
	Appearances: Magneto: Not a Hero #2 & Magneto: Not a Hero #3 Jordan was Christopher Bach's bodyguard.

Jorge

Appearances: Fantastic Four #277 Jorge was the apartment manager at Alicia Masters' Home in New York City. He was greeted by the Thing after he returned home from his stint on Battleworld.

Jorgito

Appearances: Punisher (Vol. 2) #91, Punisher (Vol. 2) #92 Jorgito was a member of the elite Bosqueverdan military unit Red Condors. When General Carranza hired them to protect his comfortable "prison" in Sierra Angeles from vigilante Francis Castle, he combed the jungle with his teammates. The Punisher captured Condor Reynardo, tied him to a tree and used him as a bait to make the others reveal their positions, with Reynardo asking for Jorgito's help; Jorgito and Manuel wanted to help a partner in need, but leader Rabio Ramirez ordered them not to. The Punisher then used a trick to attract Jorgito to the jungle, pretending to be in a different position, then when he knew where Jorgito was, he salvoed him.

Jose

	Appearances: Marvel Team-Up #119 Jose was an orderly and son of the head nurse at the Nursing Home where Aunt May and Nathan Lubensky resided. Josè was paid by Nathan to take him to the old theater where he and Georgie Benny performed as a couple. Arrived at the theater, Josè asked Nathan if it was not the case to go back to the Nursing Home otherwise they would both have trouble, but Nathan told him to accompany him to a hotel, but at the sight of a gang of thugs Josè ran away abandoning Nathan at the mercy of the thugs. He ran to the nursing home and alarmed May of what had happened so she hurried to save Nathan.
	Appearances: Amazing Spider-Man Annual #17 Jose was one of the former students of Midtown High School that attended the Midtown High School's Pre-Reunion Bash.
	Appearances: Spider-Man Unlimited #8 Member of the terrorist group Terror Unlimited, he was in charge of the detonator transport but was hit and killed by a diligent security officer.
	Appearances: Punisher (Vol. 10) #5 Jose was Guillermo's driver, who got killed by the Punisher after he let the bomb inside the taxi explode, killing him in the process.
	Appearances: Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man (Vol. 2) #1 Jose was a homeless veteran who stood at the corner of the Third and the Bowery, and to whom Peter always gave a little financial help.
	Appearances: Champions (Vol. 4) #2 Jose was one of the guys who participated in the march in Chicago against the law that banned underages from being superheroes.

Josef

	Appearances: Motion Picture Funnies Weekly #1 Josef was a minister of Queen Ursula in European principality Castile D'or. In the late 1930s, he schemed with his queen to start a war with the neighbouring Attania.
	Appearances: Spy Thrillers #1 Josef was a communist spy who played the double game; in Cairo, he introduced himself to Rick Davis as his informant who pretended to be a communist spy to get hold of documents he would hand over to Rick, but in fact he was a real communist spy trying to appropriate the documents for himself but he was unmasked by Rick who defeated him and thus obtained the documents.
	Appearances: Fantastic Four #247 Josef was the burgermeister of Doomstadt and one of the main opponents of the Zorba regime. He rejoiced at Dr. Doom's return to Latveria and made himself available to overthrow the Zorba government and put Doom himself back on the throne.
	Appearances: Namor, the Sub-Mariner #51 Josef was a worker on an Oracle oil rig in Louisiana. He says that there had been an accident on the platform but that it had miraculously settled down by herself, not knowing that in fact those who had solved the problem had been Namor.
	Appearances: Punisher (Vol. 6) #19 Josef was the head of a drug traffickers organization that lost a load of cocaine due to the Punisher. Wounded after the assault on the traffickers, the Punisher took refuge on the farm of Joan the Mouse and there confronted him Josef and his henchmen but the Punisher eliminated them all leaving as last Josef slowly killing him with a small Swiss knife.

Joseph

Appearances: Captain America: What Price Glory? #2 Joseph was a barman working at the Reef hotel and casino.

Josh

	Appearances: Spectacular Spider-Man #136 Josh was taking Heloise in full labor to the hospital and was stuck in the traffic jam created following the blackout caused by Electro. Spider-Man intervened and offered to take Heloise to the hospital, but Josh told them he didn't trust to leave his son's safety in his hands, at which point Heloise blurted out telling him to trust and Josh accepted.
	Appearances: Spider-Man #75 Josh was a friend of Normie Osborn.
	Appearances: Secret Avengers #15 Josh was a reporter for the online tabloid newspaper Unexpected Truth who posted a post fanning the idea that Captain America / Barnes's death was a hoax and this infuriated Black Widow who went to the newsroom and quarreled with the various members.

Joshua

	Appearances: Jungle Action (Vol. 2) #22 Joshua was a politician who met Caleb in 1867.
	Appearances: Iron Man 2.0 #1 Joshua was one of Judith's two children; she had recently been discharged from the hospital but was about to stumble on the stairs where Joshua had left his toys and she asked the kid if he was happy when she was at the hospital getting from him a negative answer and apologizing for leaving toys around.

Josi

Appearances: Uncanny X-Men #271 Josi was a Genoshan Magistrate. Flanked by Tam Anderson aboard their Flitter-Bikes, she was about to capture the fugitives Rictor and Boom-Boom, when they were intercepted by Jubilee who hit them with her firecrackers, knocking down the two Flitter-Bikes, causing them to crash.

Josie

Appearances: Marvels Project #3 During World War II, Josie was interrogated by the Angel about the Phantom Bullet's death.

Josip

Appearances: Punisher: War Zone #35 & Punisher: War Zone #36 Josip was a muslim soldier who helped the Punisher, Dragunov and Microchip find the nuclear warhead sold by Viktor Vikady to the Serbian People's Army in Sarajevo. He helped to find the UN truck used by Vikady to transport the bomb.

Joten

Appearances: Red She-Hulk #62 Joten couldn't stop Betty Ross from knocking down Martens in Annapolis.

Joyce

	Appearances: Zombie #8 Joyce and her group of friends managed to control Simon Garth using his medallion, forcing him to kill their enemies for revenge, including Mambo Layla. Layla, despite being seriously wounded, managed to tear the medallion from Garth's neck freeing him from their control and in full rage Garth killed Joyce and all of her friends.
	Appearances: Fantastic Four #227 Joyce ran scared to her husband Edward screaming she saw a winged monster, actually a hawk mutated by a Brain Parasite.
	Appearances: Captain Britain (Vol. 2) #4 Joyce and her friend Doreen were walking under a thunderstorm when the monstrous Sidney Crumb appeared on the road, causing confusion among passersby.
	Appearances: Firestar #1 Joyce was a regular student at the prestigious and exclusive Massachusetts Academy directed by Emma Frost who crossed her in the school yard with her classmate Peggy.
	Appearances: Daredevil #294 Joyce was an activist who, together with Karen Page, tried to get a petition signed against pornography.

Juan

	Appearances: Two-Gun Kid #21 Juan lived with his grandad. He helped Kid Colt hide from a bandit, however when the bandit found Colt and threatened to shoot Juan's granddad, Juan killed the bandit.
	Appearances: Wild Western #46 With his slingshot, Juan helped Kid Colt defeat Boyle and his gang. The Kid gave Juan the reward for the capture and recovery of the stolen goods that the boy shared with his poor village.
	Appearances: X-Men #26 Juan was one of the peasants who heard Kukulcàn's call.
	Appearances: Avengers #35 Juan was a rebel who fought against the Avengers when they came to stop the Living Laser; he managed to knock down Captain America, striking him from behind.
	Appearances: Daredevil #75 & Daredevil #76, Amazing Spider-Man #134, Amazing Spider-Man #135 Juan was one of the revolutionary guerrilla members in Delvadia. He later joined Tarantula when he fled Delvadia. He was confronted and defeated by the Punisher. 	Appearances: Iron Man #37 Juan was one of the first to notice the arrival of the Changers.
