Lara later returned the Blaze to the Trustee's castle hideout. After two attempts to kill the Blaze failed, the Blaze tossed Dr. Vortex into the Trustees' lime pit to die. Without their leader, the group fell apart.[19]

He tried to get Colonel Blackstone to open an investigation but he refused to so the Leftenant began investigating himself. On his way to Castle Frankenstein, he ran into Frankenstein's Monster which the Leftenant attacked but was knocked out. Later, after recovering he found the monster chained up being held prisoner by the Colonel who was killing the prisoners and turning them into his mindless slaves using a Giant Spider. He fought the Colonel but was seemingly loosing when the chamber began flooding and the spider escaped. The Leftenant fled begging the Colonel to flee too instead of dying. [54] His fate after the castle crumbled is unknown.
