Dracula fought back, summoning the forces of nature to rebuff his attackers. A mighty wind blew the windows inward, and shards of shattered glass flew into Father McFarland, killing him. Oddly, the blood from his body sprayed onto the lighthouse beacon in the shape of a cross. Frank Neal activated the beacon and the intense light, combined with the shadow of the cross-shaped blood stained drove Dracula away.[184] |

Mutate 8765 was tested positive for a mutant gene on his 13th birthday and brainwashed into becoming a mutate by the Genegineer. His mother tried to save him, but failed. He was later used by some magistrates who were searching for the escaped Rictor and Boom-Boom as well as their guide, Jubilee. But as Rictor and Boom got the jump on the magistrates, 8765 begged them to not hurt him since he had already been severely abused by the magistrates. Jubilee wanted to ditch him, but Boom-Boom made the decision to bring him along. He helped them escape capture and lead them to the main citadel but he could only do so much because of his programming, after this he ran away from them. As more magistrates were patrolling the area they found Mutate 8765, but he lied to them and did not alert them of the three mutants hiding nearby, thereby allowing them to escape.[347] |
