A former employee at Hammer Industries, he was forced by his wife to try to get a promotion otherwise she would leave him and Hammer promised him a promotion if he had used the proto-wings (an invention of Hobie Brown) to rob some plans from one of the his competitors. During the theft of the plans Weiser was intercepted by the Prowler who defeated by him, forcing him to tell the truth and then leave the job at Hammer.[1]
