History

Charles Xavier, codename Professor X, is a mutant with telepathic powers. He is the strongest telepath on Earth. Like many of his other incarnations, he is the founder of Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters where young mutants can learn to use their powers, and founder of the superhero team The X-Men.

Always trying to build bridges between mutants and humans, Professor X encouraged Cyclops to go and attend the presentation of the DISKs on the Raft. When both Cyclops and Beast became victims of Loki’s plan and got trapped in DISKs themselves, Professor X ordered Wolverine to track down their DISKs to keep them out of the wrong hands.

When Professor X detected a new mutant, Noriko Ashida, on Techno Isle, he send Wolverine to bring her to Xavier’s institute in hopes that her powers could be used to free the X-Men from their DISKs. To prepare her for Wolverine’s arrival, Professor X tried to telepathically contact Noriko in her dreams, but she woke up before he could tell her anything important. When Noriko’s powers finally manifested themselves when she defended herself and Hikaru against 3 punks, Professor X finally managed to contact her and tell her that she was a mutant. At first Noriko refused to listen to him and tried to deny this fact, but eventually she came to accept it.

When the X-Men accompanied the Avengers' partners to Jotunheim to attack Loki's palace, but found themselves under attack from a group of Sentinels, Professor X contacted his old friend and rival Magneto to ask for his help. Although Magneto had no intention to save the X-Men, he agreed to help Noriko.
