History
An explosion which caused the disappearance of Jean Grey left Charles Xavier in a comatose state.[1]
Xavier woke up twenty-year later in a future where Sentinels and the Mutant Response Division ruled the country. He managed to contact the X-Men of the past; in order to show them what is happening to him and that because the X-Men stood divided, the Sentinels and MRD were able to hunt down any and all mutants; to the point of turning the U.S. into a devastated country.[1]
After Xavier broke contact, he was revealed to be in the remainder of the Xavier Institute under attack. He stood up with the aid of mechanical devices and ran out of the remainder of the mansion. As he ran through the grounds, he passed tombstones of Beast, Wolverine, Rogue, Shadowcat, Colossus, Forge and Iceman.[1]
Later, Xavier contacted Wolverine on the Astral Plane about the crisis in Africa. In the future, the continent was a lifeless barren wasteland and he stated it was Storm in Wolverine's time who had destroyed it.[2]
Afterwards, Xavier was captured and met Bishop in the internment camp, from whom he learned of a Resistance and the possibility that Wolverine may actually still be alive. By working together and alongside other imprisoned mutants, they were able to escape and began fighting as X-Men.[3]
Xavier also remained in contact with the past during their every attempt to avoid his current reality from coming to be. In the end, he took part in a final battle against Master Mold, where he seemingly perished alongside the newly returned Wolverine, Bishop and some others.[4]Paraphernalia
