—Professor X (Charles Xavier)Being a mutant shares traits with other persecuted groups, but it is unlike it in one key way. We are dangerous.
History
Sins of Sinister First Decade[]
After being killed by Mister Sinister, Professor X was resurrected with his DNA tainted by Sinister, still devoted to Krakoan supremacy but with a personality shorn of ethics. Along with other sleeper Sinisters on the Council, he worked towards the goal of total dominion over Earth.[1] Within ten years, they had secured their grip on the planet, and managed to undo Sinister's top-level control imprints, granting them a greater level of self-determination. They defied their "creator", choosing to pursue war against the interstellar empires rather than focus on Sinister's goal of becoming a Dominion.[1]
Sins of Sinister First Century[]

Within a hundred years, the council had all but destroyed all interstellar competition. Xavier personally oversaw the destruction of the Shi'ar Empire, using hybridized brains of Amahl Farouk and Somnus to drive the Shi'ar into murdering each other in fits of paranoia.[2]
With their enemies destroyed, the council looked towards finding new worlds to conquer. To that end, they prepared an interstellar exploration vessel that would chart the cosmos in search of new worlds, and commissioned Sinister to create a new chimera perfectly engineered to captain the vessel: Rasputin IV. After letting it slip that he had now reached the ultimate peak of the chimera process, Xavier and his fellow council members decided that he had outlived his usefulness. Before they could get rid of him, he freed Rasputin from her control imprints and stole the vessel together with her, to leave in search of his Moira Engine.[3]
Sins of Sinister First Millennium[]
Nearly 900 years later, mutants were the undisputed rulers of the galaxy. With their enemies long since destroyed, they instead turned on each other, leading to the creation of at least a million Sinister-derived gene polities. Professor Xavier ruled one of these polities, the Protectorate of the Dream, which was a rival of Emma Frost's Empire of the Red Diamond.[4]
After Sinister made his way to the World Farm, the Empire sent an armada to stop him from resetting the timeline. After their assault failed, Beast contacted Xavier. Xavier manifested and launched an assault on the World Farm. He was delayed by Jon Ironfire, giving Sinister time to activate a kill-switch hidden in his lab; killing every mutant in the galaxy, including Xavier.[5]Attributes
