When Doctor Doom forcefully rescued a weakened Sub-Mariner from the later's enemies at Hydrobase and took him to Castle Doom in the Amphibious Skycraft, Doom mixed a special chemical brine-bath on which the submerged Sub-Mariner would lay so that he would recover his health quickly, under the attentive supervision of a loyal Latverian nurse. The Sub-Mariner awoke there and questioned the woman on the subject before meeting with Doom.[1]
