History
Chewie's history is presumably similar to her Earth-58163 counterpart's.
Years after intelligent zombies called the Respawned invaded Earth and nearly wiped out humankind, Chewie became the traveling companion of a group consisting of Spider-Man, Franklin and Valeria Richards, Moonstone, Forge, and a reprogrammed Sentinel named Nana. Chewie aided the group when they were attacked by zombies. During a trip to the abandoned Xavier Mansion, Chewie helped the group fight a zombified Beast. Forge was killed, but Spider-Man was able to decapitate Beast. Moonstone then left the group but was zombified and attacked the group, knocking out the Chewie and the others. Moonstone was killed by Blade the Vampire Hunter who joined the group after learning from Franklin and Valeria that they found a way to locate the Respawned's hive mind.[1]
While the group flew on Nana, they were attacked by zombified members of Alpha Flight who knocked Nana out of the air. When the group was attacked by more zombies, they were saved by a group of robots called the Ennows. Nana and Chewie attacked the Ennows out of the belief that they were going to attack them with Chewie swallowing some Ennows whole. Chewie was then stunned by an energy burst, and the brief fight was stopped. Chewie and her companions were taken into Ennow custody and planned to be turned into Ennows through exposure to the Transmode Virus. However, they were able to flee when super-strong zombies smashed their way into the Ennows' home, the Phalanx Wall.[2]
The group tracked the Respawned's hive mind to the underwater city of Atlantis. After Chewie and the others fought off zombified Atlanteans, they entered Atlantis and found Wolverine who they thought had died years ago. However, it was trap set by the Respawned. A zombified Magik transport Chewie, her allies, and Wolverine to Limbo where the zombies planned to use a launching point in their invasion of the Multiverse. The Respawned's history hit a snag when they discovered that they couldn't zombify Franklin because he had been turned into a techno-organic being. During the fight that ensued, Chewie released the Ennows she swallowed to help fight the Respawned. Chewie and her allies then made their way to the corpse of Galactus where the Respawned's hive mind was located. Using a bio-weapon that utilized the power of Gambit, Galactus' corpse was destroyed along with the hive mind, putting an end to the Respawned. Chewie and the others were able to flee Limbo using Magik's Soulsword. A month later, Chewie and the others stayed at the Xavier Mansion planning what they should do next with their lived.[3]Attributes
