History
The exact origin of the Chitauri Apes is unknown, but appeared to be artificial creatures created by the Chitauri to be used in times of war, possibly being modified Chitauri or cloned from their genetic material. They assisted Thanos and his Black Order in attacking countless worlds to bring them perfect balance.
When Thanos traveled to the future to get the Infinity Stones from the Avengers, who wanted to undo Thanos' Blip, he brought the Chitauri and their Apes along with the Black Order, Outriders, Sakaarans and the rest of his army to battle the heroes. In the end, all of Thanos' army, including the Chitauri Apes, were wiped out by Iron Man wielding a Infinity Gauntlet.[1]Powers and Abilities
