History

Christina Xu is a young girl living with her family in a F.E.A.S.T. shelter. She stole a key belonging to Mister Negative, which made her a target of the Inner Demons. She was saved by Spider-Boy in an impressive fashion, for which Christina promised to help with anything he needed. Spider-Boy, recently returned to life in a reality where nobody remembered him, unmasked himself to Christina. He then told her that his name was Bailey Brigs, a secret identity that nobody in the world beside Christina even knew. As a gratitude, Christina took him to the F.E.A.S.T. shelter and had Bailey stay with her family.

Christina and Bailey soon became close friends, as she was his only non-superpowered confidante. She was at his side during Spider-Boy's confrontations with Hellifino and Balloon Man, and also encouraged him to help Thor by talking to the giant spider the Asgardian was fighting.

Turned into a Humanimal

While looking for Spider-Boy, she and Spider-Boy were captured by Hellifino. After recapping her encounter with the High Evolutionary, Madame Monstrosity planned to make her a Humanimal as well. The experiment fused Christina with a pigeon before Madame Monstrosity showed her an introduction film regarding the Humanimals at her farm. Designated Number 23, Christina bid her time working with fellow Humanimals that handled outdoor work. After some time passed, Christina lagged behind, claiming that she had been cleaning up when it came for a dinner break, giving her time to practice speaking with pigeons. She got one of pigeons to deliver a message to Spider-Man, asking to come and rescue her and the others. Spider-Man brought in many of his Avengers friends, including Thor, Captain America, and Squirrel Girl, who together with Spider-Boy liberated the Humaninals and saw Madame Monstrosity defeated and taken away. Spider-Man with the help of others then completed the work on the gene-unsplicer to return the Humanimals back to normal, with Christina being the first to return to her human self.
