Christy Marx was a writer for Marvel Comics, who contributed of the plot of What If? #7: "What If the Fantastic Four Had Different Super-Powers?" (December, 1977) alongside Rick Hoberg and Don Glut.
She also wrote Sisterhood of Steel (December, 1984 to February, 1986), a eight-parts female-centered sword and sorcery series penciled by Mike Vosburg and published under the Epic Comics imprint.
Conan[]
She wrote a few stories for Conan-related titles, all characterized by the presence of a strong female character (including stories centered on the character of Red Sonja):
- "Child of Sorcery" (Savage Sword of Conan #29; May, 1978) was adapted from a story that Christy Marx presented to Roy Thomas (who credited her for the script). The specificity of that tale is it describes the story of an encounter with Conan from the point of view of the lady saved by Conan.
- "Master of Shadows" (Savage Sword of Conan #45; October, 1979), a Red Sonja story penciled by John Buscema.
- "A Devil in the Family!" (Conan the Barbarian #113; August, 1980) was freely adapted from a plot by Christy Marx.
- Red Sonja (Vol. 2) (February and March, 1983), a two-issue story written alongside Roy Thomas and penciled by Tony DeZuniga and Ernie Colon
TV series[]
Christy Marx directed "The Diamond of Doom" (Fantastic Four S1E05; November 4, 1978), written by Stan Lee.
She also wrote episodes for various Marvel TV animated series, including:
- "The Web of Nephilia" (Spider-Man S1E20; January 23, 1982).
- Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends S1E03 (September 26, 1981), Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends S1E04, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends S1E07, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends S1E09, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends S2E03 (September 25, 1982)
- "SpykeCam" (X-Men: Evolution S1E08; February 10, 2001), directed by Frank Paur, and written alongside Rick Ungar and Randy Littlejohn.
Conan the Adventurer (1992 TV animated series)[]
She also wrote stories for the "Conan the Adventurer" 1992 TV animated series produced by Sunbow Productions & Créativité et Développement: "The Night of Fiery Years" (S01E01), "Blood Brother" (S01E02), "The Star of Shadizar" (S01E03), "Windfang's Eyrie" (S01E09), then adapted stories written by Jean Chapolin: "Return to Tarantia" (S01E16),[2] "The Vale of Amazons" (S01E57), and "Into the Abyss" (S01E62).[3]Work History
