The warden, turns out to be Captain Marvel. Mar-Vell decides to ponder over his actions, and recalls how he came to be the warden of this prison.

He recalls being drawn to a temporal anomaly that transported him to the early days of the Civil War. Appearing before the Sentry, Mar-Vell is brought to Iron Man and Mr. Fantastic. Coming to the conclusion that he's dead in this future time, Mar-Vell agrees to be the warden in the Negative Zone so that he doesn't see too much of the future.

However, caught between inaction, and doing what he believes to be right, Mar-Vell decides to once more don his quantum bands and charge into battle.

Synopsis for "The Decision"

While deciding if he should register for the Superhuman Registration Act, the Sentry is attacked by the Absorbing Man. At first the Absorbing Man gains the upper hand in battle, due to absorbing the Sentry's power and the Sentry holding back. However, the Sentry decides to call Creel on his boasts, and allows the Absorbing Man to absorb the full force of Sentry's power, causing the Absorbing Man to disintegrate.
