Claire without her armor
Guardian's history is presumably similar to her Earth-616 counterpart's. Her parents Guardian and Vindicator were members of Alpha Flight, but they didn't want Claire to follow in their footsteps and instead wanted her to have a normal childhood.
When the Squadron Supreme and an army invaded the Canadian provinces of Alberta and British Columbia, Alpha Flight fought them. During the fight, many of Alpha Flight's members were killed, including Claire's parents. So, Sasquatch looked after Claire who became the new Guardian. When the remaining members of Alpha Flight fought the Squadron Supreme, Alpha Flight's leader Weapon X was able to kill Hyperion of the Squadron. However, the rest of the Squadron dominated Alpha Flight with Doctor Spectrum overwhelming Claire. Believing that their work was done, Shaman magically teleported himself and Alpha Flight to safety.
Two years later, the Squadron continued to raid Canada and hunt Alpha Flight to avenge Hyperion's death, forcing Alpha Flight to constantly move to avoid capture. The next day, Weapon X decided to take the fight to the Squadron's soldiers. 10 days later, the Squadron fought enemy soldiers and captured them. Weapon X told the soldiers to tell the Squadron's Nighthawk to stop the Squadron's oppression of Canada or he would start killing their soldiers.
Later, Sasquatch told Alpha Flight that the Squadron planned to try their Canadian prisoners for treason and possibly execute them. So, Alpha Flight went to rescue some prisoners only to fall into a trap set by the Squadron. Sasquatch had made a deal with the Squadron: hand over Weapon X, and in return, they would spare Alpha Flight and their prisoners and leave Canada alone. As a resurrected Hyperion attacked Weapon X, Claire's armor was disable by Power Princess. After the Squadron dealt with Weapon X, they let the rest of Alpha Flight go. Claire angrily berated Sasquatch for his treachery while Sasquatch justified his actions by stating that they had already lost and wanted to spare the others. Claire was tempted to kill Sasquatch with Sasquatch offering no resistance. Instead, Claire struck him in the head, stating that she wouldn't kill a teammate. Then Alpha Flight disbanded.[1]Attributes
