Clip Walton was a crime boss who made his living forcing taxi cab drivers to pay protection money. Those who refused would be gunned down on the job. His crime spree attracted the attention of the newly powered hero Thin Man. Arriving in town, Thin Man foiled Walton's operations. Confronting Walton directly, Thin Man was knocked out, and Walton saw to his personal execution. However, Thin Man revived while they were driving off to eliminate him and used his powers to free himself. After his lover Olalla gunned down Walton's men in Thin Man's Stratoplane, Thin Man knocked out Walton with a single punch. Walton was then left at the commissioner's house with evidence proving he was the man behind the series of crimes.[1]
