History
The Collective was a sentient swarm of cockroaches mutated by an atomic blast. For decades, they sustained themselves on human bodies, but they were too frail and required changing frequently. After learning about the Fantstic Four, the Collective sought to possess Ben Grimm, deeming his form much more suitable and durable.[1]
