Synopsis for "Baker Company's Big Battle!"

Combat Casey and Penny Pennington have spent the past five days with Baker Company fighting Communist forces in North Korea. After a clash with enemy forces and spending the night in the winter cold, the unit approaches the town of Hanyang which, unknown to them, is under the control of Chinese forces who are planning an ambush.

As the American soldiers advance on the town, the local Koreans warn the Americans of the attack by ringing their sacred bell. Combat and Penny help their fellow soldiers liberate the town by forcing the Chinese into retreat, but not before they can steal the bell and issue an ultimatum to the people: Turn out the Americans within 24 hours or their bell will be destroyed.

With pressure mounting, Penny and Combat go out searching for the bell and realize that the Chinese are planning a sneak attack and have only left a few guards with the bell. They easily dispatch the bell and then use a sled to bring it racing back to the town, ringing it to warn their fellow troops. As the soldiers finish off the Chinese invaders, Combat and Penny return the sacred bell to the people of Hanyan, who are grateful for the rescue.

Synopsis for "SaiPan"

On June 15, 1944, Combat Casey and Penny Pennington are among the members of the 27th Infantry (Empire) Division fighting Imperial Japanese forces on the Pacific island of Saipan. With their Howitzers they have pinned Japanese forces on a high ridge, but the cannons cannot reach the zenith of the hill and strike their targets. The commanding officers send Combat and Penny to climb up and lob grenades at the Japanese soldiers, sending them fleeing down the hill.

The Japanese however have their own cannons at the opposite bottom of the hill and are fire, but have the same problem as the Americans had: Their shells cannot reach the top of the steep hill. As the rest of the American soldiers climb to the top of the ridge, Penny comes up with an idea: Using ropes to pull their artillery cannons up onto the hill. At first it does not work as the cannons are too heavy, but Penny instructs the troops to disassemble them and they lift up the separate parts and reassemble them at the top of the hill.

They exhaust their supply of ammo during the counterattack when suddenly a new wave of Japanese soldiers pulls on shore. With no more firepower to blast at the enemy, Penny then orders the troops to deconstruct their artillery cannons and throw the components on the advancing enemy. Overwhelmed, the Japanese surrender allowing the 27th Infantry to secure the island.
