Synopsis for "Combat Kelly"

While on patrol in Korea, Combat Kelly and Cookie Novak are crossing a bridge where they are ambushed by ground troops on both sides and a helicopter overhead. The ropes of the bridge are cut and the two American soldiers are sent falling into the crocodile infested waters below. They managed to fight free from the crocs and escape the enemy helicopter that tries to shower them with bullets, getting a machine gun in the process.

Fleeing into the jungle they come across an enemy cabin and spy through a window. They see that Chinese officials are examining a map of South Korea with a number of markers on it. They storm inside and take the map, not seeing the commanding officer hitting a signal button. When enemy troops charge on the cabin, Combat and Cookie escape and hide out in a bomb used for dropping propaganda leaflets.

However when the bomb is loaded into the plane and then dropped from the sky, thankfully the pair thought to grab some parachutes and manage to deploy them. They crash into another enemy cabin and find yet another map of South Korea like the one they lost escaping and find it has red targets. They attempt to flee the scene but are captured by the commanding officer who had been hunting them down since their earlier escape. The commander takes the map and thinking it's the first map they stole reveals that it gives the location of United Nations out posts that they are plotting to bomb. However, when he gives the order to attack he watches in horror when his troops blow up their own bases. Combat and Cookie then tell the commander the map he toop from them wasn't the original. The commanding officer then drops dead of fear for any punishment he might receive and Combat and Cookie slip away.

Synopsis for "Combat Kelly"

July 10, 1943: Combat Kelly and Cookie Novak are part of an invasion of Sicily along with British and Canadian troops, a bet has been made as to which countries army can make it to Messina first, the losers promising to wear their uniform shirts backwards.

Climbing up the side of a mountain, Combat and Cookie find themselves caught in a Nazi created avalanche but manage to get to safety thanks to a nearby cave. They find that the cave is the home of a mountain lion as well as a tunnel. Instead of shooting the big cat they follow it as it flees and it leads them to an opening. But when Cookie pops out to look around he finds that they are surrounded by Nazis. Cookie ducks down and when the Nazis prepare to shoot inside, the set send the mountain lion up whose attack distracts the Nazis enough for Combat and Cookie to wipe them out.

As British and Canadian forces advance on Messina both thinking they will win the prize, Combat and Cookie find that they are on the mountain overlooking the city. With enemy troops between them and Messina, Combat and Cookie kick down a pile of logs which wiope out the enemy troops.

Shortly after the British and Canadian troops arrive in Messina thinking they have won but are shocked that Combat and Cookie managed to beat them there. The British and Canadian soldiers then admit defeat and honor their side of the bet.
