Kruger was a Commander of the U-Men that led the operation to kidnap the Children of the Atom and harvest their organs, along with Doctor Barrington. Unfortunately for them, Daycrawler, the only member of the team that wasn't kidnapped, called the X-Men to fight the U-Men.[1] While the Children of the Atom and the X-Men together defeated the U-Men, Kruger and Barrington left the building.[2]
Barrington's Experiment[]
Barrington started experimenting on Kruger after having joined Orchis Corporation. Barrington needed to stabilized Kruger's new mutated body with a a liver capable of healing itself; fortunately for her, her henchmen, the Nobodies, retrieved from the ocean the mutant Sabretooth, who, even wearing a dampening collar, was able to heal himself. Kruger got Sabretooth's liver and was renamed by Barrington as The Creation. The Creation attacked the Exiles on Noble Island and, under Barrington's command, kidnapped one of them, Orphan-Maker. The three of them then left the Island.[3]
