Conrad O'Shea was the son of rubber magnate John O'Shea. Having become indebted to the criminal Tombstone, Conrad placed an ad for a mercenary at the behest of Tombstone. Deadpool answered the ad, but it was a set-up and Deadpool was framed for the explosion of a building, killing many innocent people.
