The man known as Corporal Animal was left without a father at age 4. He closed himself off from the world lacking the ability to deal with it. He would grow into a man who would describe himself has "no human feelings.
He eventually joined the military as a marine. During an assault on the X-Corporation's Paris branch, to capture Fantomex, Animal met Professor Charles Xavier who forced him to reconsider his life.[1]
