History

Cradle Four, secretly located on the Pointe in the Atlantic Ocean, was one of the backup units for the stored minds of all mutants in the world, archived by Charles Xavier through Cerebro.

Following the assassination of Professor X and the destruction of his primary Cerebro helmet, Jean Grey traveled to Cradle Four to retrieve the backup Cerebro and restore Professor X's soul to a new husk body.

To rescue Professor X in the past from a time-travelling Omega Red, Professor X and Jean Grey used the Cerebro helmet at Cradle Four to send Wolverine's current mind into his past bodies.
