History
Crystar was one of the sons of the human king of the Planet Crystalium, and brother of Moltar.[1]
When they were younger, there was once a great war between their father and the invading Chaos. Their father died, but the wizard Ogeode stepped up and pushed back Chaos. While retreating, he promised he would return one day. Afterwards, Crystar and Moltar decided they would rule the kingdom together as joint kings.[1]
They lived peacefully for a while, until they were visited by Ogeode and Zardeth, the wizard of Chaos, each asking allegiance in the upcoming war. This led to an argument between the brothers, which eventually evolved into a fight, with Moltar mortally injuring Crystar. Seeing no other course of action, Moltar declared himself sole ruler and allied himself with Zardeth. In the meantime, a serving girl called Ambara recovered Crystar and brought him to Ogeode alongside some loyal soldiers. The wizard confessed there wasn't much he could do to heal his wounds, but told them he could still survive if he stepped into his Prisma-Crystal, which he did, coming out transformed into a being made of crystal. The loyal soldiers present followed suit and were also similarly transformed, and thus were born the Crystal Warriors.[1]
Crystar then led the attack against his brother Moltar, who had been transformed, alongside some of his soldiers, into Magma Men by Zardeth. A hard fought battle raged throughout the city of Galax, but in the end, with the help of his loyal friend Warbow, Crystar came out victorious, forcing his brother to retreat.[1]
After these events, countless more people were converted into Crystal Warriors.[2]
When the Multiverse collapsed, parts of several universes were saved by Doom to create Battleworld, and Crystalium ended up becoming a part of the floating island Weirdworld. At some point after this, Crystar was shattered into pieces and taken to the castle of Morgan Le Fay. His remains stood there in a bag for a long time until Warbow recovered them with the help of Arkon, who was searching for his own kingdom, Polemachus. Thinking Warbow was crazy for caring for a bag of crystals, Arkon left him to resume his search for Polemachus, but they were reunited before long, and Arkon was introduced to the Swamp Queen Alliance, composed of several different groups of Weirdworld united under the returned Crystar to fight Morgan Le Fay. In the end, however, neither faction emerged victorious as Battleworld collapsed after God Emperor Doom was defeated during the Secret Wars. Weirdworld then became part of the Prime Marvel Universe, where it existed in the Bermuda Triangle.[3]Attributes
