History
Curt Connors' family became sick after drinking the water from their Florida home. He began work on a water treatment, but discovered that administering would cause the swamp alligators to die. This drove Connor over the edge and he transformed in the Lizard and fled into the sewers with the formula. Spider-Man ventured down after him and the pair fought, with the Lizard thinking Connors was going to kill his alligator family to save his human one. Spider-Man managed to get through to him that Connors cares about both families and he transformed back into human form.[1]
