History
Just like his Earth-616 counterpart, Curtis Connors tried to use lizard DNA to give people the ability to regrow lost limbs. He tested the serum on himself and became the Lizard - a creature that wanted to turn everyone in the world into reptiles. When he first confronted Spider-Man, the hero couldn't defeat him, but the Lizard told him that he once was Dr. Curt Connors. Spider-Man found his house, where Curt's saddened wife told him more about Connors and his experiments. Spider-Man used Curt's lab to create an antidote, which helped him to get rid of Lizard and bring Dr. Connors back. [1]
Turned out the effect of the antidote wasn't permanent. Two years later he became a professor in Peter Parker's university and turned into the Lizard again. Lizard tried to turn his son Billy into a similar lizard-like creature. However, the monster was stopped by Spider-Man and turned into Doc Connors again.[2]
