History
Like much of the world, the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport was afflicted with blizzards by the unleashed power of the Casket of Ancient Winters, with many of its planned flights grounded. On one of these airplanes, the passengers were surprised when a stewardess, Amanda Sefton, was apparently kidnapped by a demon, which teleported away with her. In reality, this was Nightcrawler, seeking Amanda out for her mystical knowledge to aid the X-Men with her mystical knowledge against shadow-like agents of the Adversary.[1]
Later, the airport became a site of a confrontation between the X-Men and the incredible Hulk. While the Hulk was traveling with Rick Jones and Clay Quartermain, he decided to stop and jumped out the vehicle, missing the X-Men Blackbird and hitting a Pan Am commercial jet, setting its engine on fire. The X-Man Rogue ripped the engine off the wing and helped the plane to the ground, but the burning engine landed on Hulk.[2]
