Sgt. Dan Boyd was a police detective. He mentally felt that Dr. Neil Farr was being held hostage by three criminals and despite the objections of his superior, Capt. Mike Egan, he allowed him to investigate but threatened him that if his intuitions were wrong he would send him back on patrol. But Boyd's intuitions were correct until they reached the three criminals and Dr. Farr arresting the three and freeing the doctor. How it was possible that Boyd was able to always know the location and movements of Dr. Farr was explained by the famous scientist himself who said that his new millionaire discovery were the pills he had been taking during the whole time he was taken hostage, pills that were able to communicate telepathically at a distance and that was what he had done with Sgt. Boyd.[1]
