History

Dane Whitman became the new Black Knight after his uncle, the villainous Nathan Garrett asked him to take up the name and restore its legacy. But, as one of the greatest swordsmen on Earth, Whitman decided to use his abilities for good.

He was one of the many superheroes who joined S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Alliance against villains after a mysterious Pulse hit the Earth and left a material called Isotope-8, desired by both heroes and villains.
